May 2018 - Three Months - So Many Changes

We have had a busy month!
Daniel finished up Spring Semester classes and started Summer classes, we visited with family, went to graduation, graduation party, welcome home party, the mountains (of course I forgot to take a family picture!), and south for swim lessons!  Needless to say this momma is tired!  June will be just as busy!

A few pictures from the mountains!  Playing in the really cold river :)

Savannah Faye Update -
Savannah made it to the three month mark!!! She had a lot of firsts this month!
We moved her to her crib on May 14 - she slept from 11p.m. - 4a.m. then ate and slept from 4a.m. - 8a.m.  She does not do that consistently, now she usually wakes up around 2 and 5, but she does sleep in her crib!
She decided it was time to start rolling over at 14 weeks and one day - May 27th - while we were in the mountains!  She rolls to her belly all the time now!  She will play that way for a little while then get fussy!
She has been sitting in the high chair some while I cook or while we eat supper!  It is fun to have her join us :)  She can sit in the bumbo, exersaucer, and jumperoo too, its a whole new world for her!
She loves her brother and always smiles at him - he can even get her to giggle!  It is awesome to watch them interact!  She blows bubbles and makes all kinds of noises!  She loves a good bath too!
I weighed her at home and she was about 12.8 pounds!  She has another wellness check up in June at 4 months! She has outgrown 0-3 month pajamas and almost 0-3 month outfits too!  Watching her start to enjoy toys is so much fun! OOOO and she is getting a tooth!!!!!
All dressed up for church (I think I like this color on her HAHA!)
She covers her eyes when she is trying to sleep :)
First night in her big girl crib!!!

Play time!!!!
Those Lips!!!
LOVE THIS GIRL!

Lee Update -
Lee is really growing and developing such an imagination!  The other day he was Captain Hook :)  He started swim lessons after memorial day!  He has learned how to float like a champ and is even swimming!  He has had so much fun visiting his grandparents and cousins!!! I cannot believe he is almost 3!!!!
Giving Lulu a ride in his truck!!! He just discovered he could pick her up!
Helping daddy cut the grass and holding the molding at Lowe's (his favorite store)!
Playing in the rain!
He always wakes up with crazy nap hair!!!

Reading a magazine while mommy got her hair cut - he was so funny sitting there trying to read it!

April 2018 - Two Months - Too Fast!

Savannah Faye is officially 2 months old! And as I write this she is 11 weeks! Crazy how time flies with two kids keeping us busy!   We went to a Montgomery Biscuits game - that was a lot of fun! We also went to the lake with each of our families two weekends in a row this month!  We are so excited the weather is warming up so that we can make those trips!  Hope the summer is full of them!  We actually did not do much else this month other than things around the house.  Daniel finished up the semester and is getting ready to teach his summer classes!  We are planning to go to the lake again in May and to the mountains - then south for Lee's swim lessons! May and June will be busy for sure!!!

Savannah Faye Update:
Savannah Faye had her 2 month check up on April 18 - she weighed in at 12 pounds 4 ounces and 24 inches long!  That puts her at the 75th and 99th percentiles for weight and height!!!  I just moved her to 3-6 month pajamas because she is so tall!  She is a great sleeper - going anywhere from 7-10 hours without eating at night and most of that sleeping!  I usually feed her between 10:30 and 11:30 and she goes to sleep not long after that (if she wasn't already asleep and I woke her up!) and sleeps until 7:30-8:30!  She is a very happy and content little girl, rarely fussing!  She loves the bouncer, swing and the play mat (for a short time), she is holding her head up really well and loves to sit up.  Sometimes she will fuss if I am holding her and I lean her back because she wants to sit up!  She smiles all the time, follows us around the room with her eyes and we have even gotten a few giggles!  We love you sweet girl!!
SMILES!
"Say What??"
Many faces of Savannah Faye and trying out the bumbo for a few minutes!
Two month photo shoots are exhausting!
When I took her out of the car seat to be weighed at the doctors office for her two month shots she just laid there spread out - that was good sleep!
Holding her bottle on her own (this really did not work haha)
This little girl's smile is contagious!!!

Lee Update:
Lee loves his little sister and is always checking on us "Are you okay mommy? I just checking on you." - then goes back to whatever he was doing :).  Lee's turtle Snappy spent the night one night at the library - we got to go the next day and see all the fun he had overnight - what a great idea from the library for the kids!  We have started doing a little "school" at home during the week...he keeps telling me "the bus pick me up and take me to school", but I told him we were gonna do school at home! I plan to start doing some preschool with him in the fall - it has been fun planning and gathering different resources to use!  Now I just pray I can implement it and be disciplined enough to set time aside for us to learn!  Lee loves to help me water my flowers and check on our garden as well as help me with chores.  He LOVES to sword fight so we bought him some light sabers and some foam swords to play with - its a lot of fun to watch him and his imagination!  We love you Lee!!!
Lee wanted to "tutor math" one afternoon!
We have been working on the letter A, circles, the number 1 and counting to ten!  He loves "school", I hope he always loves learning!
Can you spot Snappy and all the fun he had?  Apparently he was very eager to hear the story before bedtime at the library!
My flower planting garden buddy!
Sick day lego building!
Lee loves to visit the fountain in downtown Opelika - it is purple here for Relay for Life!
My muscles are bigger than yours! Love this big boy!

Brother and Sister
Lee is on top and Savannah Faye on the bottom!
