December 2018 - 10 Months and Christmas

December was full of birthday parties, beautiful days outside, Christmas pictures and parties, family Christmas and the mountains!

Savannah Faye Update:
Savannah Faye is walking everywhere and sometimes she gets to walking so fast it looks like she is trying to run...it is really funny to watch.  She tries her best to keep up with Lee where ever he is and whatever he is doing.  She babbles all the time and can definitely say "momma" and we have heard "dada" some as well as "bye-bye" - with a backwards wave.  She loves to dance when she hears music or the words "shake it"!  She is still waking up at night and naps about twice a day - but sometimes only once.  It is really hard to believe I have already started thinking about her 1st birthday!

Lee Update:
Lee absolutely loved Christmas this year!  From the time we got back home to Opelika from Thanksgiving, we were constantly looking for Christmas lights.  His excitement over it all was so much fun!  We put the kids in their Christmas pajamas one night, made hot chocolate, loaded them up in the van and went driving through a neighborhood looking at the lights!  He loved this so much he asked several times if we could do it again!  His excitement over opening presents was so much fun too!  He is learning to balance on his bike so he can ride it on his own :).  He is such a big helper at home, he brings his laundry to the laundry room twice a week, feeds and lets the dogs out and helps me cook supper!  He is growing up so fast!

Christmas:

We had Christmas at our house a few days early, then went south to the grandparents house and celebrated with them!  Here are some fun pictures from Christmas this year!

November 2018 - 9 Months, Peanut Festival, Thanksgiving, New Zealand, and WALKING!

November was a crazy month - we started it off with a trip down south to the peanut festival, Savannah Faye standing on her own, Thanksgiving, and finally Savannah Faye walking!

Family fun update:

Every November we head south to visit our family and go to the Peanut Festival.  This year was no exception.  Lee was able to ride pretty much anything he wanted to this year and loved it!

Savannah Faye Update:

Savannah Faye has had a really big month! On November 2 she started letting go of furniture and objects to stand on her own, then on 11-4 and 11-7 her first two teeth broke through!!  She did not let either of these things be the only things she accomplished in November...at 9.5 months, at 40 weeks 5 days she took her first steps!  She did not just walk a little and leave it alone, that same night she did it several times and now walks all over the house.  She is not fast and when she wants to get somewhere fast she still crawls, but she is getting better and better at walking around!  We also had her 9 month check up the last week of November.  She is 29.25 inches tall (94%) and 20lb 4.5oz (80%).  I told the doctor she has not been really into foods that we have tried, then that afternoon she decided it was time to start eating!  She loves ritz crackers, yogurt melts, pretzel ritz crackers, cheese, and veggie soup (parted out haha)!  I have been trying different things and she finally seems to want to eat food!  Here are some fun pictures from this month!

Lee Update:

Lee had so much fun at the peanut festival this year, and then hanging out with all of his cousins!  He is still going to tumbling on Mondays and we have had lots of play dates with friends this month - trying to stay busy when it is too cold to go outside at home.  He helped decorate DibDab's tree and our Christmas tree.  We (rather mommy) raked leaves and he played in them careful to not spread them back out at mommy's request :).
