April was full of Easter events, we had a Small Group Easter Egg hunt at our home in Opelika, then we went south and had one at both grandparents homes!

Easter 2019
We ended April with a big trip for the kids and I! We flew (yes I got on a plane with the two kiddos by myself) to Texas to see our sweet friends Mike and Kelly and to watch Aunt Liz run in Chip and Joanna Gaines marathon! We had so much fun and the kids did pretty well on the airplane and we survived getting there and back - only major hiccup was that the one and only suitcase I packed did not make it to Texas with us!!! Thankfully Delta found it and got it to us in just over a day! Here are some pics from our trip!

These two were troopers! We followed Aunt Liz around and stopped 7 or 8 times to see her and cheer her on as she ran! Thanks to Kelly for driving us around town!

May 2019:
Lake Trip 2!
One afternoon Lee said - "Mommy I am going to hide and surprise Daddy when he gets home". Daniel had not even called yet to say he was on his way. I was tutoring and realized he had not come back into the playroom so I went to tell him Daniel was not on his way home yet - this is how I found him - ASLEEP! I left him for about 30 minutes behind the recliner and finally went and woke him up!

To end this blog I want to share two videos! Lee and Savannah Faye had swim lessons in April and May. This was Lee's 4th year - he has been taught over the years to float, then swim and float, then swim-float-swim. He is very good at swimming and has not turned 4 yet. More importantly he knows how to float if he gets tired cannot swim to the edge of a pool. He has been taught the survival skills of water. Savannah Faye had her first year of these lessons. She can float and is working on swim-float. Even at 15 months, if she were to fall in a pool she can roll over and float to save her life.
