One Year Ago and 4 Months

It is hard to believe that this picture was taken a year ago!  I made a shirt that said "Mummy to be" to tell our parents that we were going to have a baby!!!!  Now a year later our super cute little boy is 4 months old!

This month has been full of changes!  Lee has gotten very active! To start the month (10-5) off we transitioned Lee from the Rock in Play to the Pack in Play! Sleeping flat instead of elevated!  He did great, sleeping from 11:45 - 6:45 only waking up one time for a few minutes!  He has done really well still sleeping about 7 hour stretch at night then eating and sleeping at least another 2 in the mornings. We did hit a few days where he was waking with a stuffy nose and he had to eat to go back to sleep, but thankfully that did not last too long!

He has started playing with toys this month.  I can hold one in front of him and he grabs it and plays with it!  His favorites are a holey rattle, taggy blanket, a crinkle sounding star and some little links.  It is fun to watch him discover the toys.  He has also found his feet,  he loves to grab for them and play with them. He is starting to love to play in the bath tub too.
Such a cute little ducky!
Played so hard he fell asleep not once but twice!
Video games with daddy are exhausting!
Playing outside and watching movies with mommy!

Sitting up has been a month long endeavor!  He only needs a little help balancing now! He has been rolling to his sides pretty much all month and then on Saturday (10-24) we were eating breakfast and Lee was laying on the floor.  He rolled from his back to his belly all on his own.  He did get his arm stuck and could not figure out how to get it from under him. On Monday (10-26), Lee rolled over and managed to untuck his arm!  Then he rolled back over several minutes later!  He does not do it often but he is figuring out this rolling over concept!  It is crazy to watch him think things through, you can see his mind working!
How long can I balance myself???
Gotta figure out what to do with my arm!
So proud of himself!

We visited South Alabama for Levi's second birthday party!  We will be visiting again soon for Anna Catherine's first birthday!  Time is flying! We also had a chance to go the the pumpkin patch here in Auburn!

We had Lee's baby dedication on October 18th at our church, Lakeview Baptist, it as a special time where we promised God we would raise our son to learn about God.  We also prayed that Lee would learn to trust God that through Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection that Lee can have eternal life through His Grace.
 My handsome boys!

We are loving our little man - he is so much fun and growing each day! His four month stats are:
Weight: 17 pounds 9 ounces (85%)
Height: 25.5 Inches (60%)
He got two shots and is currently working on his new task - a two hour after noon nap :) this is day 4!!

Here are a few more favorite pictures from this month, hope you enjoy them!
 Soccer game fun!

Too distracted to take pictures!

Just for fun, look how much he has grown!

3 Months Already??

I read this past week that Lee is no longer considered a "newborn" but an "infant" since he has hit the 3 month mark.  It has gone by so fast that I have to stop and look at previous months pictures just to see what my little man looked like :)  I was changing his diaper last night and found a left over newborn diaper - it was so tiny next to his big boy size 2's!

Lee is weighing in at 14.8 pounds according to our home scale this week.  He has graduated from a lot of his 0-3 clothes to 3-6 and even some 6 month clothes.  Lee sleeps through the night and has since a few days after my last post.  He typically goes to bed about 11:00 - 11:30 and wakes up between 7:30 and 8:00.  He eats and then goes back to sleep for a few more hours!  It is great having him sleep all night!

The beginning of the month was a little rough for Lee.  He was born with a pretty severe tongue tie.  This caused nursing to be difficult and a high possibility of speech problems when he gets older.  We opted to have it "clipped".  Needless to say our sweet little boy had a very rough week and was not the happy camper he had been since birth.  He probably cried more that day than he had in his previous ten weeks.  However, I am happy to say he has returned to his old self and can move his tongue!!!  It has been really funny to watch him discover the use of his tongue and that he can stick it out!  O the little things in life!

He smiles all the time and is extremely happy and content. We can definitely tell he can see us and recognizes us when we are close by (but he doesn't mind other people holding him!) Daniel got him to giggle this past week!  It was the cutest hing ever!  He goes to Bible study with me once a week, has been to volleyball games and several football games this month!  He loves to watch everything going on around him.  So much so that now that he can sit up with only a little help - he is always looking around!  He rolled over for the first time this week-trying to watch the tv!  He also loves to play with a little blanket that has "taggies" on it, grabs at his rattle and is discovering he has toes at the end of his long legs!  And he loves to blow bubbles with his lips!

He has had a very big month of milestones and we are loving every minute!

Lee - Month Two :)

Lee's second month of life has been almost as busy as the first month!  He is still an awesome baby!
Daniel graduated from Auburn University with his Doctorate in Electrical Engineering!  Lee and I are so very proud of him and all of his accomplishments!

We have traveled to our parents house for him to see his grandparents and we went to North Carolina for a week.  Lee and I watched Daddy white water raft - for some reason they wouldn't let us go :).

Fell asleep helping Dibdab cook and chilling by the pool at Gigi's!

He smiles a lot :) This past week he discovered his hands!  I had a hard time taking his pictures today and getting his face!  Who knew hands were so cool - and tasted so good!  Lee has been holding his head up extremely well, but still gets tired from all the work!  He loves to sit in his bouncer and look at the lights and also likes to sit up in the bumbo - this too gets tiresome, but he enjoys it for a little while!  Our little boy is growing fast - he weighed 13 pounds 3.6 ounces and 23.5 inches long at his 2 month check up!

"What you talking bout?"

Love to eat my hands!       First time in my high chair!

We are ready to see what next month holds! Ready to wear his orange and blue! War Eagle!

One last smile for this blog post! We are so in love with our little blessing!

Has It Really Been A Month?

I cannot believe that it has been a whole month since we finally welcomed our sweet little boy into this world!

June 26th we were admitted into the hospital to welcome Lee - he was not born until 1:54 AM on June 27th!  He weighed 8 pounds 8 ounces - 21.5 inches and was absolutely perfect and has been ever since!

It was a very busy first week with our little guy.  My sister had her sweet little girl - Zoey - four days after Lee was born! Daniel defended his dissertation five days after Lee was born - he is officially Dr. Geiger - we are so proud of him and all of his accomplishments!  To top off our first week we made our first road trip to see all of our family that same day!

Things slowed down after week one, but a month has already come and gone!  Lee is already sleeping a six hour stretch at night - mommy is very happy about this :).  He weighs 9 pounds 7.6 ounces now and is growing daily!  We went to church for the first time last night and he slept through the whole service!  He has started smiling more intentionally than accidentally in the last few days - it is fun to try to get him to smile.  He is a very content little baby and such a sweet sleeper!

Here are a few of our favorite pictures from his first month :)
