August 2018 - Family Vacation, 6 Months, Scooting, School and Soccer!!

August was a fun month!!  We were finally able to go on our family summer vacation to the beach :)  We had so much fun! Savannah Faye made some big moves this month, Daniel wrapped up his busy summer schedule and Lee and I started Homeschool Pre-School!

Savannah Faye Update:

Savannah Faye turned 6 months old on us this month.  Hard to believe we are halfway to one year!  At her check up she weighed 18 pounds 6 ounces and was 27 inches tall - that puts her at 85 and 88 percentages respectively!!

She is growing so fast!  She mastered sitting up and has figured out how to scoot anywhere in the room on her butt sitting up (8-10-18).  She has also started getting on her hands and feet and putting her booty in the air - just like Lee did before he started to crawl!  She loves to play in the play room with Lee!  It is so much fun to watch her and then the two of them interacting!  She managed to clap when I said YAY one night (8-16-18)  but she has not done it for me since!  She loves water - so bath time is always fun and even better now that she can sit up in the tub on her own.  Here are some fun pictures of her from this month!

Lee Update:

Lee loved our beach trip!  He really loved going to the pool to swim...the actual beach was only fun for a little while - we think it is because it is hard for him to swim in the ocean - maybe next year he will love it as much as the pool!  We started pre-school at home this month!  He has done really well and asks to "do school"! He can already write his name after two weeks!  I am reminded daily of my need for patience - it is very different teaching a 3 year old compared to 13 year olds :)  Lee also started soccer at the end of the month - he has not had his first game yet but he has loved going to practice!   Here are some fun pictures of our big boy this month:

July 2018 - Sweet Summer Time - 5 Months - Sitting Up, Swim Lessons, A New Van - and so much more!

July was very eventful in the Geiger household!

We started off the month finishing off family birthday celebrations then going to the beach for the 4th of July!

Lee Update:

Lee finished out his summer swim lessons the beginning of July.  He can swim/float/swim and LOVES to swim! He enjoys jumping off the side of the pool and swimming to us as well.  Lately he has really enjoyed pretending to be different people or characters - some favorites are Captain America, Simba, Peter Pan, and the Beast from Beauty and the Beast.  It is so much fun to watch his imagination grow each day.  Here are some fun pictures of Lee from this month!

Savannah Faye:

Savannah Faye has been trying to get the balance thing down on sitting up, and the day she turned 5 months (7-17-18) old we noticed she had mastered the sitting up thing pretty well!  If she ends up on her belly she cries until someone sits her up! I will say it is nice having her sit because it has her a little more content these days :)  She has also been able to sit in a high chair at a restaurant and in the buggies in stores!  I forgot to weigh her at 5 months, but she has a 6 month doctor visit coming in August.  She is still waking up a couple of times a night but eats and goes right back to sleep.  We have tried a little real food - bananas, sweet potatoes, peaches and frozen yogurt.  She seems to really like everything but the sweet potatoes!
