March 2018 - Savannah Faye - Already a Month Old!

Time flies when you are having fun - and a busy family :)

Adjusting to life with two kids has gone pretty well.  Lee loves his sister and loves to "pet her head" or tell me "my sister wants to see me".  Of course it is usually when she is asleep!

We had a lot going on in March - family came to visit and help us with projects (cleaning our back yard out, redoing our dining room among a few things!)  We also went to the zoo during Daniel's spring break, had an Easter Egg Hunt with our friends, and traveled home for Easter!

Savannah Faye:
Savannah Faye had her first month doctors appointment on March 22 - she was just over a month old!  She measured 22 inches long (83%) and weighed 10 pounds 13 ounces (85%). That is almost two pounds in one month!  We have already had to move to the 0-3 month clothes!  I was able to catch her first intentional smile on 3/25/18!  She is smiling and cooing so much more since then.  She loves the bouncer and sometimes laying on her tummy.  She is really good at trying to hold her head up for a little while before starting to bob some!  She is eating about every 3 hours except at night where she is going anywhere from 6-9 hours!  She is sleeping on average 6-8 hours at night too! This mommy is thankful for that!  She is a sweet baby and only cries when hungry or sleepy - and not for long then either!

All Smiles!!!

ONE MONTH OLD!

Lee:
Lee is so much fun these days!  His imagination has really started to show and he pretends to be a puppy some days and a frog other days - and talks non stop in between!  He was able to visit his grandparents for a week before Easter - he loves to go to Gigi/Gpa and DibDab/HeeHaw's houses - he always comes back with fun stories of what all they did!  It is great that he gets to go spend time with them and his cousins!  He loves to jump on his trampoline with me or his daddy!
Love this boy!

Cousin Fun!!! The Park, The Zoo, The Backyard water balloon fight!
He wanted a picture with the Alligator!

Our Little Family!!!!

February 2018 - Waiting, Arrival, and Adjusting to Life as a Family of 4!

February seemed like the longest month, but ended oh so sweet!
We "patiently" waited the arrival of our daughter Savannah Faye - I use quotation marks because the last two weeks I was probably not as patient as I should have been!
The first part of the month was just relaxing and hanging out with Lee and enjoying our time with him as an only child!  He kept asking when Savannah Faye (or Nina Pay as he calls her) was going to come out of mommy's tummy!

We reached week 39 of pregnancy and asked if we could have a plan for induction so that our family could plan to be here and to help take care of Lee while we were at the hospital.
We planned to induce on her due date of February 17th, my doctor, Dr. Hensarling was on call that day!
I forgot to take a 40 Week picture the day we were induced!

Tucking Lee in as an only child one more time!
Early morning headed to the hospital!

We went in at 7 a.m. and at 7:40 p.m. weighing 8 pounds 14 ounces and 21.5 inches long, our sweet daughter, Savannah Faye Geiger, came into this world!
Patiently waiting and napping :)
She was so bright eyed after she was born - she stayed awake about 3 hours!!!
Getting all of her stats!

As I type this (3/3/18) she is two weeks old!  On Monday, February 26th we went to the doctor for her one week appointment and she was already up to 9lb 4oz!  She is a pretty good sleeper at night, which I am thankful for!  Her big brother adores her and loves to "pet" her head and hold her!  He has done a pretty good job of adjusting to being a big brother as well!
Love our little family!!
Left him to babysit while I went to Walmart :)
A few faces from our time in the hospital!
 Love this man!!
Getting ready to go home!!! She was not happy we changed her clothes, then we realized she had a dirty diaper - haha!
Meeting his sister for the first time!!!! He was so excited!
He loves to hold his sister - in the first picture he said he was taking a nap with her :)
Picnic outside - we needed some fresh air :)

We are so thankful for our parents coming to stay with us and help us with Lee and adjusting to a new routine with two children!
DibDab, HeeHaw, GiGi and GPa!

Looking forward to next month to update you some more on our family!!!
