February 2018 - Waiting, Arrival, and Adjusting to Life as a Family of 4!

February seemed like the longest month, but ended oh so sweet!
We "patiently" waited the arrival of our daughter Savannah Faye - I use quotation marks because the last two weeks I was probably not as patient as I should have been!
The first part of the month was just relaxing and hanging out with Lee and enjoying our time with him as an only child!  He kept asking when Savannah Faye (or Nina Pay as he calls her) was going to come out of mommy's tummy!

We reached week 39 of pregnancy and asked if we could have a plan for induction so that our family could plan to be here and to help take care of Lee while we were at the hospital.
We planned to induce on her due date of February 17th, my doctor, Dr. Hensarling was on call that day!
I forgot to take a 40 Week picture the day we were induced!

Tucking Lee in as an only child one more time!
Early morning headed to the hospital!

We went in at 7 a.m. and at 7:40 p.m. weighing 8 pounds 14 ounces and 21.5 inches long, our sweet daughter, Savannah Faye Geiger, came into this world!
Patiently waiting and napping :)
She was so bright eyed after she was born - she stayed awake about 3 hours!!!
Getting all of her stats!

As I type this (3/3/18) she is two weeks old!  On Monday, February 26th we went to the doctor for her one week appointment and she was already up to 9lb 4oz!  She is a pretty good sleeper at night, which I am thankful for!  Her big brother adores her and loves to "pet" her head and hold her!  He has done a pretty good job of adjusting to being a big brother as well!
Love our little family!!
Left him to babysit while I went to Walmart :)
A few faces from our time in the hospital!
 Love this man!!
Getting ready to go home!!! She was not happy we changed her clothes, then we realized she had a dirty diaper - haha!
Meeting his sister for the first time!!!! He was so excited!
He loves to hold his sister - in the first picture he said he was taking a nap with her :)
Picnic outside - we needed some fresh air :)

We are so thankful for our parents coming to stay with us and help us with Lee and adjusting to a new routine with two children!
DibDab, HeeHaw, GiGi and GPa!
Uncle Stephen and Uncle Greg

Looking forward to next month to update you some more on our family!!!
